Optimedia at NAHB IBS 2026: The wrap-up of our three days in Orlando

Optimedia booth NAHB IBS 2026

From February 17th to 19th, Orlando hosted the 2026 NAHB International Builders' Show, one of the most significant events in the residential construction industry, bringing together nearly 75,000 professionals from across the globe. Optimedia was there at booth #W2729, continuing its path of engagement with the North American market.

A Key moment: Our FBC-certified impact-resistant products

One of the things we were most looking forward to at IBS 2026 was finally presenting our new range of impact-resistant products, now certified through the Florida Building Code (FBC). It's been a process, and getting there means our solutions are fully equipped to meet the technical and regulatory standards required in high-risk weather zones across the US, starting from Florida and the Gulf Coast.

Compliance, however, is just part of the picture. What we brought to IBS was the full scope of our approach: a custom design process developed by our engineering team, capable of adapting our PVC and aluminium joinery systems to the specific requirements of each project. From standard residential applications to more complex fenestration needs, the goal is always to combine technical performance with practical, project-specific solutions.

Alongside the FBC-certified range, IBS 2026 was also the occasion to showcase three products we are particularly invested in right now:

  • Lucentra, which leverages Innovio™ Glass Technology, pushes the boundaries of light transmission and thermal performance, a combination that is increasingly in demand in high-end residential projects.
  • OptiHorizon Plus builds on the minimal-frame philosophy of our OptiHorizon line, taking the balance between glass surface and structural integrity a step further.
  • OptiFusion Hidden Sash brings a cleaner aesthetic to our OptiFusion system, concealing the sash entirely when closed for a seamless, frameless look.

Conversations that mattered

Trade shows at this level are useful precisely because they compress a wide range of interactions into a short window of time. Over three days, we had the opportunity to meet distributors, builders, architects, and developers, some already familiar with our product range, others discovering what Optimedia does for the first time.

The conversations confirmed a clear direction: the North American market is increasingly focused on certified performance, design flexibility, and reliable supply chains. These are areas where our production model is well positioned to respond.

The team behind the booth

A huge thank you goes to the fantastic Optimedia team on the ground in Orlando, and to everyone who stopped by the booth. It's always good to put faces to names, and sometimes that's where things get started.

What comes next

IBS 2026 was again a perfect checkpoint for Optimedia in a longer process of building presence in the North American market.

If all goes to plan, see you in Las Vegas for IBS 2027!
